HOLIDAY GIFT GIVING MADE SIMPLE

our organizer tips

CREATE A LIST OF EVERYONE YOU’LL BE PURCHASING FOR, AND ANY GIFT IDEAS YOU HAVE

Don’t forget your children’s teachers and coaches, employees, or employers, and those people that help you, or your family, all year round, such your gardener, trash collector, mailman, and UPS and FedEx drivers.

ONCE YOU’VE CHOSEN WHAT TO GET EVERYONE, BREAK UP YOUR LIST INTO TWO CATEGORIES

We recommend breaking your list into, gifts to purchase online and those to purchase in store.

AS YOU PLACE ONLINE ORDERS, KEEP OF LIST OF EVERYTHING YOU ORDER

So you know what’s arrived, and what you’re still waiting for.

FOR EASY GIFT WRAPPING

Ask for a box with your purchase, or even better, for free gift wrapping.

WHEN WRAPPING

Use sticky notes to indicate the contents of wrapped gifts, before they’re tagged.

RATHER THAN WRAPPING OVERSIZED GIFTS

HOLIDAY DECORATING TRICKS

our organizer’s share their holiday decorating tricks

ORNAMENT HANGING

Use a wicker basket, with a handle, to carry and hold unwrapped ornaments, while you place them on the tree.

LIGHT STRINGING

Setup 4 people, on 4 ladders, around your tree, and pass the string of lights from 1 person to the next until the entire tree is wrapped.

OUTDOOR LIGHTS

Keep your outdoor lights on an automatic timer so you don’t have to worry about turning them on and off.

CHOSE MEDIUM-SIZED STORAGE BINS

Contain holiday decor in medium-sized, manageable bins that are easy for 1 person to maneuver.

WHERE TO STORE DECORATIONS?

Keep holiday decorations together in a storage space that is accessible, but not front and center, since you will only be accessing them yearly

KEEP ALL HOLIDAY THINGS TOGETHER

We recommend storing all holiday items together, including things that are often kept out all year, like holiday cookie cutters, dish rags, and mugs.

PHOTOGRAPH YOUR DECORATING

If you like the way your decoration look, take photographs to reference next year.

SKIP WRAPPING ORNAMENTS

Since your fragile ornaments only travel from your living room to their storage spot, they likely don’t need the protective paper most of us wrap our ornaments in.

STORING OVERSIZED DECORATIONS

Store oversized decorations, like wreaths, in large, contractor-sized trash bags.

On average, we spend 6 minutes looking for our keys in the morning.
